Good as Gold. Salt is essential forife/Every person's body contains about 227g of salt-enough to fill several salt bottles. Salt helpsmuscles wouk. and it aids in digesting( 消化) food. Salt also preserves food and adds flavor to meals. In hotclimates, people need extra salt to replace the salt lost when they sweat. In uropical Africa, salt has always been precious.

Salt is abundant in the Sahara and scarce in the forests south of the Sahara ( in present-day countries such as Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire ) . These conditions gave rise to Africa's salt trade.Beginning in the A. D. 300s, local people drove camels carrying European goods and weapons from Medierranean ports into the Sahara. At the desert's great salt deposits they traded European goods for salt.

Rise and Dcline. Camels arived in Africa from Asia in A. D. 300. In time, commercial teams of thousands of camels loaded with tons of salt arrived at southern markets. Local kings along the trade routes put taxes, which were pay able in gold, on all goods crossing their empires.

The ancient empires of Mali and Ghana rose to great power from wealth brought by the salt trade.

Trade routes also provided ways for spreading ideas and inventions. By the A. D. 800s, Arab traders brought to Africa n sy stem of weights and measures, a writen language, and the concept of money. Although salt no longer dominates trade, it is used as a seasoning throughout the world.

Good time management involves not only the ablity to make time arrangements for different tasks, but also the insight and good judgment to rccognize which tasks are best donc at what time.Morcover, it requires sticking to the original plan and the focus to organize resources accordingly.With good time management. a schedule is cleverly organized and then strictly followed. so tasks get done as planned.

On the other hand, bad time management involves a lack of planning. organization, focus,and self-control. We forget, overlook, or miscalculate tasks in terms of how much time they'd require for completion, which makes a mess of the rest of our plans. We fail to foresee and provide for the resources we need for the activities we've planned, leading to delays and cancellations. We fail to put our activities in the right order, instead choosing to spend our time doing insignificant tasks, leading to unsuccessful attempts.

Life in the 21st century is challenging our ability to maintain work-life balance like no other time before. With technology allowing more work hours as well as more entertainment options than ever, we no longer seem to find 24 hours enough to fit in everything we need and want to do in a day. With such demands and lifestyles, poor time management has become normal, and good time management is a superpower only the enlightened have seemed to master.

And if we can't even manage our time when it comes to our day -to-day tasks, how could we expect to find time to follow through on our bigger life plans?

In this current lockdown, people are once again finding joy in reading. bul this time some say that non-fiction books are better than fiction. What do you think? Is fiction better than non-fiction? Yes-let your imagination run wild

Whether it's talking animals or aliens saving the world, anything is possible in fiction. It fully depends on the author's imagination. In turn, their work can inspire others to be more creative themselves. For example, Neil Gaiman, the author of Coraline, has said that he wanted to become a writer after reading The Chronicles of Namia books by C. S. Lewis. From Harry Potter to Matilda. some of the world's most beloved characters come from works of fiction. Getting to know these characters makes readers more empathetic, which is when someone is able to understand another person 's feelings. Although non-fiction books give readers the facts, fiction can bring timc periods and historical events to life.

No-nothing beats fascinating facts

The American writer Mark Twain once wrote, "Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; truth isn't". What he meant was that some times the reality of what happens is far more interesting than any made -up story. A good non-fiction book can be just as exciting and emotional as a novel Non-fiction is also far more relevant to people's lives. Although it's nice to escape to a far-off land, non-fiction books can help readers make sense of the world around them. If knowledge is power, then non-fiction books are the most powerful books of them all. Non-fiction books aren't spoiled by knowing the ending either, and they will always be a useful point of reference in the future.
